Status Effects (also known as Crowd Control) are negative conditions in Eternal Return. They usually afflict the targeted character with some kind of penalty, and the effect wears off over time or by moving out of the affected area. Characters under the effect of a status effect will display an icon representing that effect. (Note that while only one status label appears, multiple may affect characters at the same time.)
Status effects can be countered by Tenacity, a statistic that lowers the efficiency or duration of status effects, and by Crowd Control Immunity (which prevents these effects from being applied for a duration). Skills that make their user Unstoppable will ignore status effects while they're being used.
