- Skill Priority
- Some plans or guides have a skill priority list, with a permutation of QWERT. The skills to be prioritized or leveled up are the ones on the left-hand side, with decreasing priority for the right-hand side skills.

- Initialism for Ancient Bolt.
- Adri
- Abbreviation for Adriana.
- AR
- Initialism for Assault Rifle, or Archery Range.
- Argy
- Abbreviation for Argyrotoxus.
- Barb
- Abbreviation for Barbara.
- BFC
- Initialism for Blackfire Cannon.
- Burst
- Huge damage dealt in a relatively short amount of time.
- Carn
- Abbreviation for Carnwennan.
- Contest
- To challenge someone taking an Objective, area, security console, or item.
- Crowd Control, CC
- Any status effect that prevents a player from doing one or more actions. Examples include Stunned, Silenced, Suppressed, Rooted, Grounded.

- Another term for Weapon Skill.
- Dailin
- Abbreviation for Li Dailin.
- Dagda
- Abbreviation for Hammer of Dagda.
- DDS
- Initialism for Divine Dual Swords.
- DM
- Initialism for Devil's Marksman.
- DS
- Initialism for Dual Swords.
- EB
- Initialism for Electron Blaster.
- EBAD
- Extra Basic Attack Damage, a retired Damage modifier.
- ENAD
- Extra Normal Attack Damage, unofficial and deprecated term used for Extra Basic Attack Damage (EBAD).

- Initialism for Extra Skill Damage, a retired Damage modifier.
- Excal
- Abbreviation for Excalibur.

- Initialism for Force Core.
- Flat Amp
- Another term for Extra Skill Damage, a Damage modifier.
- FnC, F&C
- Initialism for Fish And Chips.
- Frag
- Abbreviation for Fragarach.
- Funnel
- In team modes, to prioritize a certain player for items and mastery.
- Glovewoo
- Term used for a Hyunwoo using Gloves.
- Grief, Griefing
- To negatively affect another player to no real advantage of your own, such as chasing someone down at level 1.
- Hotswap
- Changing weapons while in combat. Doable by Throw and Shuriken users, as well as Alex.
- Hyun
- Abbreviation for Hyunwoo.
- Int
- Intentionally die to someone. Also used to describe bad plays which causes the player to die.

- Immortal Soul: Black Survival, the point and click battle royale game that Eternal Return was based off.

- Initialism for Lloigor & Zahr.
- Macro, Macromanagement
- The ability to strategize and manage resources and items, as well as plan for long term objectives and acknowledging the game state.
- Micro, Micromanagement
- The ability to control a character with granular or specific control. Includes twitch reflexes and mechanical skill.
- Mist
- Abbreviation for Mistilteinn.
- MKB
- Initialism for Monkey King Bar.
- Mono
- Abbreviation for Monohoshizao.
- MotP
- Initialism for Mark of the Phoenix.
- MJC
- Initialism for Mystic Jade Charm.
- Nath
- Abbreviation for Nathapon.
- NN
- Initialism for Nimble Neuron, the developers of Eternal Return.
- Objective
- Usually refers to either gathering of rare materials such as the Tree of Life or Meteorite, or fighting the mini-bosses Alpha, Omega, or Wickeline.
- OGBS
- Original Black Survival, same as ISBS.
- OOC MS
- Extra movement speed when a character is not in combat.

- Initialism for Petal Torrent.
- Rat
- A playstyle where one avoids fights, trying to place as high as possible by waiting for other people to die first.
- RNG Items
- Items which require rare materials such as Tree of Life, Meteorite, Mythril, or VF Blood Sample. Can also refer to Transition Items, even if item does not require such rare materials.
- Sis, Siss
- Abbreviation for Sissela.
- Skamp
- Abbreviation for Skill Amplification, a Damage modifier.
- Skill Amp
- Official abbreviation for Skill Amplification.
- T
- Another term for a character's Passive Ability.
- Tactical Teaming
- Where two or more people on different teams decide to focus on another party. Usually happens when both parties want to maximize their placement by knocking out a stronger opponent.
- Third Party
- To join a fight where two different parties are already fighting, gaining advantage due to the first two parties being unprepared. Can also use terms like Fourth Party, Fifth Party, etc to describe more parties joining in on the fight.

- Abbreviation for Hammer of Thor.
- ToL
- Initialism for Tree of Life.
- Transition Items
- Items where a player builds after completing their initial plan. Usually made from rare materials, or items that were unfeasible to build with the initial plan.
