Cosmetics are optional customization elements in Eternal Return.

Description[]

Cosmetics allow players to customize the aesthetics and appearance of characters and other aspects of the game. These cosmetics can be purchased with NP NP (the game's cash currency) or EventNP Event NP (obtained from promotions and events) through the in-game Store, earned as ER Pass Rewards, and also as part of promotions and events (such as Twitch drops). Some cosmetics can only be obtained for a limited time (such as Ranked Rewards) before they become permanently unavailable.

Store[]

The in-game store has several different categories that offer items to be purchased.

Skins[]

Skins can be purchased with NP NP / EventNP Event NP from the Store or obtained as rewards from ER Passes, Events, or by reaching Gold+ in Ranked. Purchasing the current Season's Bundle will automatically give the player skins released throughout that season as they are released, along with a Skin exclusive to the bundle.

Skins come in different rarities, with each higher one having more features and a higher price than the previous one.

Rarity Features Cost
Common Default Skin NP 0
Uncommon Changes the character's model NP 1075
Rare Changes the character's model and their skill effects NP 1485
Epic Changes the character's model, their skill effects and their voice lines NP 2150

It is worth mentioning that, unless explicitly stated, any skins originally available through events will eventually return as either part of the store for direct purchase, or in special cases as part of a data box's rewards.

Limited Skins[]

Limited Skins can be obtainable from limited time content, such as Ranked Rewards and Season Bundles.

Ranked Rewards are in-game items given out to players that reach and maintain a certain rank at the end of each season. These rewards cannot be obtained any other way. Player accounts that are suspended or banned cannot receive end of season Ranked Rewards. Among these rewards, there is always a Rare Cadet skin. Once a season ends, the cadet skin cannot be obtained ever again.

Season Bundles grant several items on purchase, including a special Epic rarity skin. Once their bundle is gone, the skin can be obtained as a rare chance from skin data boxes.

ER Pass[]

ERSeasonPassClaim

The ER Pass offers a variety assortment of rewards that can be obtained by gathering EP, which are earned by playing matches and completing ER Pass missions. Players can unlock the premium track of ER Passes via the ER Pass menu with NP NP / EventNP Event NP to earn even more rewards from it and to unlock additional ER Pass Missions which grant more EP. Each ER Pass is available for two seasons before they expire. The player can freely switch between the currently available ER passes (progress is only made in the pass that's currently set as active).

The kinds of rewards gained from the pass are as follows:

  • Skins
  • Emotes
  • Tombstones
  • Announcer Packs
  • Sprays
  • Profile Backgrounds, Icons, Borders
  • XP/ A-Coin and ER Point Boosts
  • NP
  • A-Coin

Cost[]

Players have two options when purchasing an ER Pass: They can pay NP 1550 to unlock access to premium rewards & the missions, or they can purchase ER Pass Plus for NP 3990 which will immediately unlock the first 20 levels. Players can also exchange NP / Event NP into EP anytime to gain extra levels without playing.

Missions[]

ERSeasonPass

A set of ER Missions will unlock each week and can be cleared any time before the pass expires. Missions are spilt up into 8 weeks with different free and premium missions. When the ER Pass expires so will these missions and progress can no longer be made.

  • Blue missions are available to any player in Eternal Return to complete and claim the rewards.
  • Orange missions can only be completed by players who have purchased the Pass.

EP[]

All missions grant EP, the Pass system's form of experience points. By gaining enough EP, the Pass' level will increase, unlocking more rewards that can be claimed.

Switching ER Passes[]

Players can freely switch between the current and previous Battle Passes. Switching to a Battle Pass that the player had already made some progress in will continue from where it left off. Players cannot switch to a Battle Pass that has already been completed.

ER Season Pack[]

The ER Season Pack is a purchasable bundle that contains all of the characters, skins, and ER Pass released for the season. This pack will be in the shop for only a month, and will start off at nearly 70% or 50% off.

The following items are included in the Season pack:

  • ER Pass (Level 1)
  • Characters released through the season
  • Skins released through the season
  • 1 Exclusive Skin
  • 1 set of Exclusive cosmetics

Certain special skins released mid-season (such as event skins) may not be included in the season bundle. All items are automatically added to the player's account through the in-game mailbox on the date of release. On purchase, any items in the bundle that the player already owned will have their cost refunded, in ACoin A-Coins for characters and in NP NP for skins.
